Kiddies Self Soothe
If you are searching for a guided self regulation routine to help calm your kids and yourself then this 13 minute video is designed for you. Firstly we do an exercise called grounding to bring your senses back into your body and to help stop all that mind chatter, then together we do some beautiful bird breathing, then onto some calming affirmations and finishing with some EFT (emotional freedom technique) tapping on parts of our face to calm our amygdala (our fight or flight stress response part of our brain ) sounds weird right? but trust me it’s amazing and studies show it reduces our level of cortisol ( the stress hormone). Do this every day even twice a day or just when you feel that anxiety creeping up, this will assist in keeping you at a state of calmness, clarity and confidence, to get on with your day in a more loving and peaceful way.
